Pool Rules – Activity Pool

  • Children under the age of 12 must be directly supervised by an adult age 18 or over at all times.  If the child is unable to swim, the adult must be in the water and within one arm’s length of the child.
  • The only flotation device permitted in the pool is a lifejacket approved by the United States Coast Guard.  If a child is using a lifejacket, an adult age 18 or over must be in the water with the child and within one arm’s length of the child.
  • Appropriate swim attire is required.  No cut-offs, denim, or cotton material permitted.  No t-shirts other than tight fitting rash guards. 
  • All non-toilet trained persons must wear a disposable swim diaper.
  • Feet first entry only into the pool.  No spinning, flipping, or diving.
  • Any persons experiencing diarrhea or suffering from a communicable disease is prohibited from using the pool.
  • Any persons with an open cut, blister, or rash are prohibited from using the pool.
  • Pool toys must be made of a soft material and approved by the lifeguard on duty.
  • Running, rough play, pushing, dunking, fighting, and use of abusive/profane language will not be tolerated.
  • Lifeguards and the Aquatic Manager have the right to prohibit any activity deemed unsafe or unsportsmanlike. 

Pool Rules – Lap Pool

  • Only those who intend to swim laps or are participating in a program may use the lap pool.
  • Children under the age of 12 are not permitted to use the lap pool without the permission of the lifeguard on duty or the Aquatic Manager.
  • When all lanes are filled, members are expected to use circle swimming so that more than one person may use the same lane at one time.
  • Use of the diving board is only permitted during recreation swim times.
  • Starting blocks are for swim team and Learn-to-Swim use only.  A certified coach or instructor must supervise swimmers using the starting blocks.
  • Feet first entry only into the pool except where water exceeds 9 feet.
  • Any persons experiencing diarrhea or suffering from a communicable disease is prohibited from using the pool.
  • Any persons with an open cut, blister, or rash are prohibited from using the pool.

  • Please return pool equipment after use.

Pool Rules – Diving Board

  • Use of the diving board is only permitted during recreation swim times.
  • Any persons using the diving board must be able to pass a swim test.  It is at the discretion of the lifeguard to administer swim tests.
  • No shirts or shoes are permitted on the diving board except tight fitting rash guard shirts.
  • Only one person is permitted on the diving board and ladder at one time.
  • Divers must dive straight from the end of the diving board.  Do not jump or dive toward pool sides.
  • Only one bounce per dive is permitted.
  • Divers are expected to clear the diving area immediately after diving.
  • Do not swim under or hang from the diving board.
  • Lifeguards and the Aquatic Manager have the right to prohibit any activity deemed unsafe or unsportsmanlike.
